HOI AN COUNTRYSIDE JEEP, FARMING & BASKET BOAT EXPERIENCE

At 9:00 AM, your local guide and US Military Jeep will pick you up directly from your hotel in Hoi An. Leaving the ancient town behind, you will enjoy a scenic Jeep ride through peaceful village roads, rice paddies, coconut groves, and charming countryside landscapes on the way to Cam Thanh Village.

Upon arrival, begin your adventure with a traditional coracle basket boat ride through the tranquil water coconut forest. Guided by local fishermen, you will learn about the daily fishing culture, discover the unique ecosystem of the nipa palm forest, and experience navigating the iconic round basket boat.

The journey continues with an authentic countryside farming experience at local gardens. First, join a fun Vietnamese conical hat painting workshop, where you can create and decorate your own traditional “Non La” hat. Wearing your handmade hat, you will then step into the role of a local farmer and choose between two hands-on experiences: working in the vegetable garden, where you can prepare the soil and water the crops, or heading into the rice fields to try traditional farming activities such as drawing water, ploughing, harrowing, and transplanting rice seedlings. Along the way, you will gain a deeper insight into traditional Vietnamese farming techniques and the rhythms of rural life. You will also visit a traditional farming tools exhibition house to gain insight into the agricultural heritage of rural Vietnam, and enjoy watching water buffalo plowing the rice fields - an iconic image of the Vietnamese countryside.

After the farming activities, participate in a Vietnamese cooking class hosted by local villagers. Learn about fresh local ingredients and traditional cooking techniques before enjoying a delicious homemade countryside lunch featuring regional specialties.

Following lunch, relax on a scenic US Military Jeep ride back through the countryside before returning to your hotel in Hoi An. End of services.
